Abstract

Azanidazol has been administered to 37 patients with vaginitis produced by Trichomonas vaginalis: 23 have been treated in a combined way (sistemic and topic), 12 in a sistemic way and 2 topically. In 33 (89 %) cases a complete bearing has been achieved, with good tolerance in both patient and partner. On the basis of its efficacy and tolerance, a positive judgement has been expressed regarding the therapeutic validity of drug, supported by other qualities such as antimicrobic spectrus, failed antabuse effect, etc. Among the different ways of administration, the elective is the sistemic followed by the vaginal; while the combined treatment seems to be useless.
